This residence is a revisitation of the issues of modularity and 2x construction resulting in 12′ x 12′ x 12′ interior modules. Simultaneously the project reconciles linear space – developed in the project as a climatic response to the capturing of prevalent breezes and to the constructional issues of extension through repetition – with the desire for a more static containment of livable space.

The project is reached by unimproved roads and is located in a flat clearing of the Texas hill country bordering the Frio River to the north and east with views to hills in the south. This area has historically served as an escape from the intense heat of San Antonio due to its low humidity and frequent southerly breezes.
